這是我看過令我哭得最慘的一部片。
How many of us really pay attention to what the world is happening?
How many of us really understand how many people are dying due to famine, war and diseases in the far end of the world, like Ruwanda?
Do we really care about the lives that were taken by all the weapons we let to be created?
I know, we just watch the news and say "oh my goodness, that's a horrible war in that country, & so many people died accordingly." After the TV's off, nothing remained in your mind.
We just go back to our original life, keep worrying about our own matters.
That's the first time I realised how great the priests/ sisters are becuase they give up the better lives they have at their hometown, & serve people out there in the land suffered from many different disasters and catastrophes.
That's also the first time I realised that the lives of Europeans and Americans can be called lives while lives of others wer totally worthless and could be disposed at any time.
By the time the priests and sisters brought orphans to the hotel, hoping that they could all be rescued, yet the conclusion waiting for them was so cruel.
They will take you only, leave the kids with me, I'll take care of them.
I still want to cry when I think of that scene.
No matter what, this is a movie worth watching.
It will reminds you how horrifying a war/ civil war can be, how vulnerable human lives could be, and how stupid and indifferent we really are.
