電影的主軸非常簡單，熱愛音樂的男子與妻子過世、獨自開著吸塵器維修店的父親住在一起，有一天在路上碰見了來自捷克的年輕媽媽。同樣熱愛音樂的他們，在音樂中互相瞭解、彼此吸引。
靈魂深處的撞擊，兩人不斷譜出一首首動人的歌曲。
縱始愛情在音樂與互信中滋長，現實的因素仍舊橫亙在兩人之間。

【Once】是部小成本的電影，但卻在好幾個影展中獲得極高評價。最大原因應當歸功於電影中的音樂非常悅耳動人。
【燕子】裡的龍仔說，「聽見喜歡的音樂，就像有愛情從耳朵穿進去」，【Once】的的確確用影像實踐了這句話。
實踐愛情的形式千變萬化，不是只有牽手到白頭才能證明雙方的心意。在對視一眼的時刻彼此微笑，心跳的頻率一致，心的距離是零。
那個當下，我們聽見的想必正是鑽進耳朵裡的愛情。
